| Reporting to the Chancellor and serving as a member of the Chancellor's Cabinet, the Associate Chancellor/Chief-of-Staff supports the Chancellor in all areas relating to University activities as well as in the Chancellor’s work with community organizations, governmental agencies, and other non-profit organizations. Represents the Chancellor in discussions with Vice Chancellors, Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellors, Directors and Associate Directors, Provosts, and other campus senior leadership regarding policies and operational issues pertaining to the campus and medical center. As such, the Associate Chancellor/Chief-of-Staff undertakes investigations and analyses on directed topics and facilitates the communication and implementation of various actions or activities. The Office of Sexual Harassment Prevention and Policy; the Campus Ombuds Office; the Cross Cultural Center; the Women’s Center; the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender Resource Office; and the University House; all report to this position. The Associate Chancellor/Chief-of-Staff responsibilities with respect to these units are to provide leadership, direction, coaching and support. Scope of responsibility includes ensuring an effective and productive customer service-oriented environment. The responsibility of this position also oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $2.7 million.
